Rings for those who don't do ordinary

Expertly crafted rings built around genuine natural materials, from iron meteorite formed in deep space to naturally shed deer antler and aged distillery oak.

Foundoria rings are built around materials with real origin stories: genuine iron meteorite that formed roughly four billion years ago, naturally shed deer antler that symbolises renewal, and aged whisky barrel oak reclaimed from American and Scottish distilleries. These are not printed patterns or resin imitations. They are authentic materials, each with a story worth telling.

Many of our rings have a tungsten carbide core, one of the hardest materials used in jewellery at 8.5 to 9 on the Mohs scale. It will not scratch easily, will not scuff, and will not slowly lose its shape the way gold or silver does. Others use lighter materials for those who prefer less weight on the finger: titanium, black zirconium whose colour is the metal's own oxidised surface rather than a plated coating, and carbon fibre. Every ring has a comfort fit interior.

Why We Use Real Materials

The men's ring market is full of near identical bands where the only real difference is the price. Men are expected to choose a ring they will wear for the rest of their lives from a lineup that all looks much the same.

Foundoria was built to offer something different. Rings where the material itself carries meaning, so an antler ring connects you to the wild and a meteorite ring carries a fragment of something older than the planet. Not because alternative materials are cheaper, but because whether it is a wedding, an engagement, a promise or simply a ring worth wearing, it should reflect the person wearing it.

Every material we use is genuine, which is worth saying plainly because a great deal of what is sold as meteorite in this market is an imitation, printed or cast to look like the real thing. Ours shows the natural Widmanstätten pattern, which takes millions of years of slow cooling to form and cannot be faked, and we check every piece by pattern, light and magnetism before it is set. Our antler is naturally shed, so nothing is taken and no animal is harmed. Our barrel wood is reclaimed from real distillery casks.

Our Collections
Built to Last

Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest compounds used in jewellery. Where a gold band sits at around 2.5 on the Mohs hardness scale and picks up scratches from the first week, tungsten rates 8.5 to 9. Your ring will look much the same in ten years as it does today.

Every Foundoria ring has a comfort fit interior, a gentle dome on the inside that makes it easier to get over the knuckle and more comfortable through a long day. Samples are tested by SGS against REACH standards, which sets a legal limit on nickel release for anything worn in prolonged skin contact. If your skin has ever reacted to jewellery, our guide to choosing a ring for sensitive skin explains which surface actually matters and which of our rings suits you.

Every ring ships with a free ENDURA silicone companion band, arrives in eco luxury packaging, includes free express delivery worldwide, and carries our lifetime warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are your materials genuine?

Yes, and it is worth asking, because much of what is sold as meteorite is an imitation. Ours is genuine iron meteorite, checked by pattern, light and magnetism before it is set. Our antler is naturally shed, so nothing is taken and no animal is harmed. Our barrel wood is reclaimed from real distillery casks. We never use imitation materials.

Can your rings be resized?

No, and the reason is the inlay rather than the metal. Resizing means cutting the band and closing it up again, which a natural inlay will not survive: meteorite, antler and barrel oak are set in as one continuous ring, so cutting it cracks the material or breaks the bond holding it. Tungsten cannot be resized in any case. If the fit is wrong we exchange the ring, and UK size exchanges are free. Better still, ask for a free ring sizer first.

How durable are these rings?

Tungsten carbide rates 8.5 to 9 on the Mohs hardness scale, one of the hardest materials in jewellery, so it holds its finish for years where gold softens and scratches. Titanium and zirconium are more forgiving under a knock but will pick up surface marks instead. Natural inlays are the part that needs a little care, mainly keeping them dry. Our care guide covers each material.

Can a ring be removed in an emergency?

Yes. A hospital can remove a tungsten ring with standard vice grip pliers, since tungsten cracks cleanly rather than needing to be cut. Titanium and zirconium are cut with a ring cutter in the usual way. Emergency departments deal with this routinely, whatever the ring is made of.

What's included with my order?

Every ring arrives in eco luxury packaging with a free ENDURA silicone companion band, free express delivery worldwide, and our lifetime warranty. You have 30 days to exchange or return. In the UK that is free both ways. Outside the UK you cover return postage and we cover sending the replacement out.
