Frequently Asked Questions

Sizing

How do I find my size? +

Ask us for a free ring sizer and we will post one out, with no obligation to buy. It is the surest way to know, and it costs you nothing.

If you are measuring another way, do it at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest. Between two sizes, take the smaller one: our comfort-fit interiors run slightly generous.

Can my ring be resized? +

Not ours, and the reason is the inlay rather than the metal. Resizing means cutting the band and closing it back up again, and a natural inlay will not survive that. Meteorite, antler and barrel oak are set in as one continuous ring, so cutting it either cracks the material or breaks the bond holding it in place.

Tungsten carbide cannot be resized in any case. Titanium and zirconium are more workable in a plain band, but not once there is an inlay to protect.

So if the fit is not right when it arrives, we exchange the ring rather than alter it. Easier still, let us send you a free sizer first.

What if I order the wrong size? +

Email returns@foundoria.co.uk within 30 days with your order number and the size you would like instead. UK exchanges are free.

Delivery & Returns

Delivery +

My size says made to order. What does that mean? +

It means we do not hold that size in stock, so we make the ring for you from scratch rather than telling you it is unavailable. Every size stays buyable.

Made to order rings are typically dispatched in 8 to 10 weeks, or 10 to 12 weeks outside the UK. Payment is taken when you order, and your product page shows the estimated arrival dates before you buy.

Returns and exchanges +

You have 30 days from delivery. Email returns@foundoria.co.uk with your order number and whether you want an exchange or a refund, and we will send instructions.

In the UK, returns and size exchanges are free. Outside the UK you cover return postage, and we cover sending the replacement out. Please send the ring back unworn and in its original packaging.

Our Rings

Are the materials genuine? +

Yes, and it is worth asking, because a great deal of what is sold as meteorite in this market is an imitation: printed, pressed or cast to look like the real thing.

Ours is genuine iron meteorite, checked by pattern, light and magnetism before it is set. Our antler is naturally shed, so nothing is taken and no animal is harmed, and comes from Scottish estates and North America. Our wood is reclaimed oak from retired whisky and bourbon casks, and our carbon fibre is the real woven material.

How to tell real materials from imitations

What are the bands made of? +

Tungsten carbide, titanium, black zirconium or carbon fibre, depending on the ring. Tungsten is the hardest and heaviest, titanium the lightest, zirconium sits between the two and carries our black finishes without plating.

I have sensitive skin. Which ring should I choose? +

The only part of a ring that matters for this is the surface against your finger. On our antler and wood sleeve rings that surface is the natural material itself, so no metal touches your skin at all. On the rest it is titanium, zirconium, carbon fibre or tungsten.

Samples are tested by SGS against REACH standards, which sets a legal limit on nickel release for anything in prolonged skin contact. Our tungsten binder does contain some nickel, so if your allergy is severe or diagnosed, choose one of the other options.

How to choose for sensitive skin

Will a black ring wear off? +

It depends which one. Some of our black designs use ion plating, which is a coating and can eventually thin where a ring rubs. Our black zirconium rings are different: the black is the metal's own oxidised surface, grown by heat, so there is nothing on top to wear through.

Ask us before you order and we will tell you plainly which a given ring is.

Comfort fit +

Every ring has a comfort-fit interior, meaning the inside of the band is gently domed rather than flat. It slides over the knuckle more easily and sits better through a long day.

Looking after it +

Plain metal bands need very little. Natural inlays prefer to stay dry, and meteorite in particular should not get wet, since iron and water do what iron and water always do.

Warranty +

Every ring carries our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, structural failure and finish retention under normal wear. Proof of purchase required. Email support@foundoria.co.uk with photographs.

What is and is not covered

Orders & Packaging

What comes in the box? +

Your ring, a free ENDURA silicone companion band for the gym, travel and hands-on work, and our eco-luxury packaging, ready to give as it arrives.

Standalone ENDURA bands ordered on their own are the exception, and ship without the gift box.

Do you offer engraving? +

Not at the moment. Our rings carry the Foundoria name inside the band, and we would rather tell you that now than have you find out after ordering.

Payment methods +

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Maestro, UnionPay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Klarna.

Can I change my order? +

Possibly, if you are quick, since we process orders straight away. Email support@foundoria.co.uk and we will do what we can. Failing that, you have 30 days after delivery to exchange or return.

Will you keep me updated? +

You will get an order confirmation, a dispatch email with tracking, and an invitation to review the ring once it has arrived.
