Ring avulsion is the injury caused when a ring catches on something while your hand is moving away from it: a ladder rung, a trailer edge, a piece of machinery, a fence post. Sizing and Care
Size it the same as your metal ring
Silicone has a little give, so your usual size is correct. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one: a band that spins freely is a band that comes off in a glove.
It should come off with a firm pull
That is the design working. If yours has to be peeled off with real effort, it is too tight, and if it slides off in water it is too loose.
Cleaning takes seconds
Soap, warm water, dry it properly. Silicone traps moisture against the skin if you leave it damp, which is the one thing that causes irritation.
Replace it when it nicks
A band with a cut edge will tear early and unpredictably. At £16 it is a consumable, not an heirloom, and that is the point of it.
